The South Holston has been low water for quite some time running one hour pulses a few times a day. This alone has been diverting most of the pressure to the Watauga. That said, there are still some great wade fishing opportunities to be had. Sulphurs are starting to come off in the afternoons and evenings and lake fish are trying to do their best to move in but won’t fully start to happen till we get some water.

That said, South Holston Lake is almost up to the guide curve so we are all hoping for some water soon. If wade fishing, I have been running a lot of midges and split case sulphers under a double palsa indicator rig.
