The Watauga has been fishing solid, and there are some big fish being caught. It can be a great way to escape the crowds this time of year as most are focused on the soho. We have been having success nymphing with eggs and midges and streamer bite has been pretty solid as well. The big fish haven’t keyed in on the larger flies but should start to turn on as they transition out of the spawn. As always please don’t fish to specific fish that are spawning.
